The Country Director and senior officials of BRAC have paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs.

The visit aimed to update the Ministry on BRAC’s interventions, share progress made in 2024, and outline plans for 2025.

BRAC’s women’s empowerment initiatives focus on providing livelihood skills support to adolescent and young girls, with an ambitious plan to reach 150,000 beneficiaries over the next five years.

A key outcome of the meeting was the agreement to develop and sign an annual Workplan that will outline key activities, associated costs, and define the Ministry’s coordination and monitoring roles.

BRAC launched operations in Sierra Leone in 2008. Since then it has been working with underserved communities delivering programmes in the areas of health, education, early childhood development, agriculture and youth empowerment.
