The Executive Chairman of the Petroleum Regulatory Agency (PRA) Brima Baluwa Koroma has reiterated that, there is enough fuel product in the country following the continuous artificial scarcity hitting the country.
There has been reported outcry fuel scarcity in different areas in the country and every district has been hit by the problem for which many citizens questioned the availability of the product in the country.
Report has it that, the product that is sold at Nle 30 officially at all fuel stations is allegedly sold at Nle 50-70 within different districts by street vendors called “Jebu”.
In his statement, the PRA Executive Chairman maintained that, there is no fuel scarcity or price increase in the country as well as confirming that, an additional 18 metric tons of fuel will be available by Friday 24th May 2024. He called on those involved in hoarding the fuel to deviate from such practises with immediate effect.

PRA is becoming very inefficient in its functions, this has been an unending crisis of the same nature and are always telling us the same stories that have kept this issue going. Stop the stories and do something for the citizens. Life is becoming unbearable. A litre of fuel is 55NLe in my community in the tonkolili district.
