The Chancellor of Central University at Mile 91 Muckson Sesay Sr, has sought authorization to offer a Bachelor’s Degree Program in Nursing, State Registered Nurse (SRN), and other Health-related fields.
The Chancellor made this statement on Thursday the 6th of April 2023. He disclosed that the University will introduce new courses in nursing and other health-related fields next academic year as they have got plans and schedules put in place respectively.
‘’Central University in Mile 91, Sierra Leone, is set to introduce new courses in nursing and other health-related fields. This development comes after a delegation from the Nursing Council in Sierra Leone conducted an assessment of the University’s facilities on April 4th, 2023. The assessment was carried out to ensure that the University met the necessary standards and regulations required for the delivery of quality nursing education
The university will offer a Bachelor’s degree program in Nursing, as well as courses in State Registered Nurse (SRN), Community Health Officer (CHO), and other related programs.
The introduction of these courses marks a significant milestone in the University’s commitment to providing quality education and will equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to tackle the healthcare challenges facing the country.
