Hon. Chernor Maju Bah (Chericoco), the vice presidential candidate of the All People’s Congress (APC) in the recent general elections, Allegedly paid a visit to Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, the re-elected vice president of Sierra Leone.

It was further Alleged that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss a path forward for the APC-elected Members of Parliament (MPs) to begin their parliamentary duties. The meeting holds significance as it aims to find a constructive way to move forward following the conclusion of the elections.

It was also alleged that the demands of Hon Chericoco were as follows;

1. There should be a new reopening of Parliament in the presence of all elected MPs.

2. The leadership election in parliament should be conducted again.

3. ECSL should publish the disaggregated data by polling stations.

4. The government should pardon all political detainees if they want national inclusiveness.

5. The government should compensate the families of all those who lost their lives during the political tension, especially APC supporters.

In the end, the Hon. Vice President’s response was straightforward, “our government will look into all your concerns and address them constitutionally.”
