In his continued demonstration of unflinching support for the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) in general and President Julius Maada Bio in particular, Chief Abdul Kadiru Kaikai, held a constructive meeting with 96 western Area market women Chair Ladies at King Harman Road Freetown.
Abdul Kadiru Kaikai is undoubtedly one of the strongest advocates for the NO RUN-OFF campaign for President Bio come June 2023. The aforementioned meeting of all 96 western area chair ladies was to discuss and persuade them on the benefits of re-electing President Bio without Run-Off.
In his speech he thanked them for honoring his invitation to have a meeting with them and assured them that he felt honored. He further confessed that he has immense respect for market women as he grew up as a market woman’s son as his biological mom was once a market woman for over 20 years and hence he knows how genuine, generous and loyal they’re.
2023 General Elections is definitely going to be one of it kind in Sierra Leone. There has been tempos from both the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) Party. It is undoubtedly also true that incumbent political parties are as well determined to grab State House from the slightest opportunity they see. In such a peaceful power struggle the tendency for run-off is very likely.
Being the advocate for President Bio’s re-election with NO RUN-OFF, Chief Abdul Kadiru Kaikai asked the market women to throw their full support for the course of the said meeting campaign. He went on that each member of the 96 representatives should extend the campaign to their families, friends, neighbours, colleagues and also to persuade members of the opposition to reelect President Bio on the 24 June 2023 with No Run-Off.
Kadiru Kaikai alleging other political parties being evil, he admonished the meeting invitees to follow the right road path and leave the other. This he depicted President Bio as the only way forward to Sierra Leone’s development.
