The Office of the Chief Minister of Sierra Leone, under the leadership of Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, has announced an upcoming Town Hall Series in Koidu City, slated for Saturday, August 17, 2024.

The event, which will take place at the Thomas Saquee Resort Centre at 2:00 PM, is themed “Government and the People: Accelerated Service Delivery and Implementation of the Big 5 Game Changers.” It aims to foster direct engagement between the government and citizens on critical national priorities.

In a recent message on his official WhatsApp page, “Radical Inclusion,” Dr. Sengeh underscored the importance of this event as part of the government’s commitment to delivering on key initiatives under President Bio’s Big Five Agenda. He stated, “From the United Nations Security Council, New York City to the Kono District Council, Kono District. This weekend, I’ll pay a working visit to Kono to speak about Feed Salone, Governance, and then engage citizens in a Town Hall. We must deliver on President Bio’s #BigFiveAgenda. I’m hosted by the Local Council, and I’ll be with several ministers of government. I’ll also open a Radical Inclusion Ataya Base. When I say #WeWillDeliver, I always believed that we can only do it through citizen action, and #RadicalInclusion offers us one leadership principle to guide us.”

The event is expected to be a vital platform for citizens in Kono to voice their concerns and contribute to the discussion on the implementation of government policies, particularly those under the Big Five Agenda.

The presence of various government ministers at the event also highlights its significance in the ongoing efforts to improve service delivery across Sierra Leone.
