Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, David Moinina Sengeh, has today reflected on his one-year journey since taking office.

He expressed his gratitude for the privilege and honor of serving his country and its people, as well as the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), emphasizing that he views his tenure as a period of learning rather than an entitlement.

Marking the occasion, Chief Minister Sengeh took to social media with a heartfelt post: “Today is one year since I took an oath of office to serve as Chief Minister of Sierra Leone. It’s been a year of learning. I’ve never seen it as my time, or my turn, or my entitled right, but rather a privilege and honor to serve my country and her people and SLPP.”

During his swearing-in ceremony in 2023, Sengeh thanked President Bio for appointing him as the 4th Chief Minister of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

He dedicated the moment to all young men and women with dreams, encouraging them to continue pursuing their aspirations.
