Prominent  Sierra Leonean rapper, actor, movie producer and CEO of Black Conscious Movement, Shitta Taju Deen stage named Cool J has  on his Facebook handle revealed his struggles before reaching the peak he is.

USA has been a dream land for many citizens around the globe from different countries. This is because of the living standard of America and the technological advancement of the country. Many have the thought that America is heaven on Earth. This had been the dream land of Salone cool J.

This dream land of Cool J later became a nightmare for the superstar as he faced challenges in the US. During his tender age days, the rapper was living in the streets as a follower. His high school life was cycled with friends, parties and many more. He was almost into trouble every week. One unfortunate incident Cool J had was a time someone closer to him was gun shot and killed in the US. He was just 10 minutes away from the crime scene was this happened.

 

With such misfortunes for Cool J, he was advised by his former girlfriend now wife to return to Sierra Leone. At those days, he was one of the best basketball player in his high school. As a young man with young heart, Cool J chose friends and party life.

Over the years, after so many struggles and huddles went through, Cool J proudly says now that he self sufficient and praises the Almighty for his blessings over the years. His life has changed from being a street boy to a family man with wife and children.

Taking his life experiences as a case scenario, Cool J disclosed the reason he endorsed and supported Juliana Conteh aka Julie Tombo for Housemates Salone Season 3. According to Cool J everyone deserves a second chance to make things right and make an impact to his/her life.

“This is one of the reason why I supported Julie Tombo. Everybody deserves a chance to elevate in life.” The rapper mentioned.

Cool J is known for his hit single ‘Holiday Bluffer’ featuring Kao Denero and latest hit single ‘Prove Dem Wrong’ featuring Innocent among others.

On his post, he said:

“Coming to America I thought it was a dream until it turned to a nightmare. I made a lot mistakes. There was a time when I was in the streets; a follower—while my mother worked single handed giving me everything I asked for! An unforgettable time is when I was 10minutes away from being at a scene where someone close to me got shot and killed. My girlfriend now wife, after God and prayers saved me. She advised to me go home and for the very first time I listened to her! I was one of the best basketball player in high school but I chose the friends ,party life and more. I’m not proud of my past and I thank God for growth. Look at me now. I’ve dreamed about this moment and I’m thankful 🙏🏾 I have an amazing family and God has been blessing me
