The Leadership of National Youth Commission (NAYCOM) has paid an engagement visit to the management newly constructed SONOCO Bakery commissioned by President Julius Maada Bio at Wellington Industrial Estate, Freetown.

The Commission which has got the mandate to promote youth’s creativity, potential and skills for national development coupled with the creation of job and employment opportunities for the youths has been very proactive in reaching out to every sector that has to do with youths and the development of the youths in the country.

The engagement was focused at strategies and insights on how the commission will support the first batch of young women that will be trained for bakery, pastry and cake production at the facility, as they have to be serving the nation as well for a sustainable development and growth.

The visiting team was made up of the Commissioner Ngolo Katta and his Deputy Emerson Kamara who expressed their satisfaction upon seeing the training centre facility and how it is being used.

They also disclosed to the management their plans to officially partner with them in making sure that, things work well and every party gets a better standing in the role play of youth capacity building and development.
