The Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Francis Ben Kaifala has expressed greater hope in the fight against corruption as well as moving to a two digits in the afrobarometer set standards.
He maintained that, he has enjoyed working with a great team to achieving and changing the narratives in the country for which is always ready to do, adding that, one of the clear result to back up the strength of their fight against corruption is the remarkable feat of moving Sierra Leone from 130 to 108 in the TI index in five years among many others.

The 2023 CPI report was presented to President Bio that was released by Transparency International (TI) and shows a 2-step leap from the country’s ranking in 2022 and an increase in its score to 35 – our highest rank and score ever since the TI-CPI rankings began in 1995.
It was noted that, the country moved from 130 in 2017 to 108 in 2023, moving 22 spots in the last five years, reflecting a positive shift in Sierra Leone’s global standing.
The President, in acknowledging the report, maintained that “this feat wouldn’t have been possible without the active work and support of the Anti-Corruption Commission, the citizens, Civil Society Organisations, and Government officials who have tirelessly worked towards building a nation that values integrity and ethical conduct.”
He also reiterated his commitment to promoting Sierra Leone as a beacon of integrity and progress on the global stage.
