The former Minister of Education, David Moinina Sengeh, who is now the Chief Minister, recently handed over his former office to the newly appointed Minister of the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education.
The handover ceremony took place at the Ministry building in New England, with Sengeh and the incoming Minister, along with other Ministry staff, in attendance.
Chief Minister Sengeh expressed his gratitude on Twitter for his time at the Ministry, mentioning that he visited every office to thank the staff who had become like family. He highlighted the progress made over the past years and thanked President Bio for the opportunity.
Sengeh has now taken on the larger responsibility of the Chief Minister’s office, where he will oversee various ministries and address the country’s ongoing challenges. He recently shared pictures of himself in his new office, ready to serve the people of Sierra Leone.
