Deputy Minister of Transport and Aviation, Rex Bonapha, joined forces with Transport Technical Advisor Dr. Adams Steven, SLIRUM Project Manager Umaru Katta, and their team to ensure enhanced safety and modernization of public transport in Freetown Municipality.
A significant step was taken as they conducted a thorough site visit to seven key intersections where civil works are currently underway.
The purpose of these efforts is to facilitate the installation of essential traffic signals at crucial points within the city.
These intersections include Ferry Junction, Congo Cross Roundabout, Murray Town Junction, Aberbeen Road Junction, Lumley Police Station, and Roundabout.
The move underscores the commitment of local authorities to improve traffic management and ensure the well-being of both commuters and pedestrians.
