The Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education has issued out a Notice addressed to the Chairman, Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools, Chairman, National Council of Head Teachers and Chairman for the Association of Private Schools to clarify the misunderstandings that arises due to the WASSCE 2022 Public Notice the Ministry released on the 13th January 2022.

In the Notice, the Ministry clarified that the 13th January WASSCE Public Notice applies to Public Schools only, adding that the MBSSE does not pay WASSCE fees for candidates in Private Schools and can therefore not compel them to readmit repeaters.

The ministry ended by reminding all principals and Head Teachers of Schools countrywide, that it is a criminal offence to inflate/ manipulate data on candidates presented for Public Examinations and to present candidates who have not completed the stipulated period of tuition/attendance per level.
