The Head of Communication of the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL), Raymond George has denied allegation that one of their staff at Kissy ran away with voters’ ID cards.

The ECSL Communications Head reacted to a social media post which alleged that a certain Elizabeth Hawanatu Bundu ran away with voters’ ID cards to an unknown location.

The allegation was meant wild condemnation online minutes after it surfaced as some locals went to registration centres to collect their ID cards.

Earlier, the ECSL announced that registrant will have nine days to collect their ID cards.

The process started on Friday and will end on Sunday evening 16 April this year.

Sierra Leone will go to the polls on the 24 June this year in a multi-tier election.

Political analysts have predicted that the incumbent SLPP will face stiff competition from the main opposition APC.
