The Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) has inform the general public that payment for Locality Electoral Education Committee members (LEECs) has been paid in full for 35 days across the country.
The Commission appreciates members of the LEECs for their outstanding contributions.
In the aftermath of Sierra Leone’s recent elections, the Electoral Commission has also embarked on the essential task of compensating tally center staff across the nation. With over 700 Tally staff were paid from the five regional Tally centres.
With funds from the government of Sierra Leone, the payment started Friday, 28th July 2023, and successfully end on Sunday; 30th July 2023.
The Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone embarked on the process of compensating tally centre staff in an equitable and transparent manner. The Commission’s decision to pay for ten days, including the staff’s traveling day, highlights its commitment to fairness and appreciation for the dedicated service rendered by its workforce.
When are they paying polling staffs?
So what about the pooling staffs. Some of us almost get beaten by the angry voters and we are yet to receive what we is ours.
This statement is a very big lie statement. Sorry for inconvenient but it not true. Infact The payment team want to pay us only for 8 days, unless when they seen reasons, they decided to pay us for 10 days only.
Today for you to say EC-SL Pay tally staffs for 35 days, is very big lie. Now I started notice that Sierra loaded spread fake and unconfirmed information to the public without proper researching.
Please Mr/mrs go through your drowning board and reposted it again.
They only pay us for 10 days only
This is how useless our leaders are !
Those that risked their lives in the field of the pooling stations and centers aren’t important to be paid first right ?
With all due respect ECSL please try to pay the polling staff as soon as possible.
When are they paying the once that do the work
When ECSL is going to pay polling staff we suffer greatly and some nearly want to be beaten by the voters and some of the workers even borrowed transport money just to serve
But it is over 50 days no payment please when are you going to pay the people that risk their lives.
This is frustrating…. Having done the job since 24th June, uptill the polling staff are not paid… For how long shall we keep waiting?
