JUST IN: ECSL Suspends Local Council Bye Election in Port Loko
The Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL) has today announced that they have suspended the conduct of local council bye election in Ward 239 Port Loko District, North-West of Sierra Leone, scheduled for Saturday 25 June 2022.
According to ECSL, the decision to suspend the bye election is as result of a pending investigation on non-compliance of due process by the local council authorities in declaring the said vacancy.
