The Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority has announced that power outages affecting several areas in the far West are due to a technical fault along the Sussex High Tension line.
The fault has caused repeated disruptions in the power supply, leaving residents without electricity.
The Authority stated that multiple efforts to fix the issue so far have been unsuccessful, prompting further investigations scheduled for today, 21st March 2025.
According to the Authority, these investigations will be focused on identifying the source of the problem, followed by immediate repairs and maintenance to restore the power supply as quickly as possible.
The affected areas include Bango Farm, Adonkia, Angola Town, Ogoo Farm, Lakka, Hamilton, Pogodon, and Sussex Village. The Authority has assured residents that steps are being taken to resolve the situation at the earliest.
“We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers and are committed to resolving the issue as soon as possible,” the Authority’s statement read. They also thanked customers for their patience and understanding during the ongoing efforts to improve service reliability.
