The United States Embassy in Freetown has applauded the Electoral Review Committee on the adoption of its rules and proposed plans.

They expressed concern in monitoring the engagement with all the involved stakeholders and the concrete proposals to enhancing integrity as well as making sure that voices and votes are always counted.

They also maintained readiness to support the vital steps in the country that would enhance unity and national cohesion.

The government representative the the ERC Dr Emmanuel Gaima has maintained that it is key to address issues and preach the unity as well as upholding the peace of the nation, adding that the primary focus of the committee was on Resolution 3 which mandates the review of contentious electoral matters.
