The European Union in partnership with International IDEA has ended a two-day engagement workshop on civic and voters education through the National Commission for Democracy ahead of the June elections in Sierra Leone at the Brookfield Hotel in Freetown.

The combined support was given to National Commission for Democracy (NCD) which champions the rolled out process in ensuring that, the beneficiaries do not only get the message but use the outcome to transform their communities before, during and after the June general elections.

The National Commission for Development (NCD) has also recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International IDEA to establish and strengthen partnership between the two institutions in order to enhance active citizens’ participation in the June 2023 elections and beyond.
