The August 10th 2022 demonstration in some part of the country has claimed the lives and properties of many.

In that light, many citizens and organizations have been sending words of courage to families who loss their loved one in the process.

Dr. Fatima Bio the First Lady of Sierra Leone has also send a word of condolence to the families of the lost ones and a word of caution to Sierra Leoneans.

“I am saddened to see such an unfortunate situation in Sierra Leone. My sympathy goes to all the bereaved families and I pray that Allah will take control as they grieve.

We have come too far to be going backwards again. It is as if we have not learnt lessons from our 11 years of senseless war which is the cause of much of our situation today.

We keep allowing politicians to use our youths to cause havoc that will taint our country as unstable but you never get to see the children of these politicians leading the protests. This is because they forbid their children from going out. Instead they use other people’s children.

Let us pray that we continue to enjoy the peace we have as the 4th most peaceful country in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Peace is Wealth. Let us maintain our calm and address all these situations with wisdom.

Violence of any kind is wrong. Killing innocent people is wrong.

Please let us not forget that we are all Sierra Leoneans and we have to be each other’s keeper. We only have one Sierra Leone. One Salone.

May the souls of all those who lost their lives, rest in perfect peace. Amen.

Mama Salone is crying. 😭😭😭💔💔💔”.
