Sierra Leone’s First Lady. Fatima Bio has on Tuesday held an engagement meeting with the student organizing committee from Harvard university.

The meeting was focused on discussing crucial topics related to gender equality and women’s empowerment as well as served as a platform for an insightful dialogue and the exchange of ideas between the First Lady and the students, focusing on strategies to address gender disparities and promote women’s leadership.

The First Lady and the student committee members actively participated in sharing their perspectives on various aspects of gender equality. The students provided valuable insights into innovative approaches to tackling gender disparities whereas the first lady shared her experiences and strategies for fostering collaboration among government institutions, civil society organizations, and youth-led initiatives. This exchange of ideas created a dynamic environment that encouraged open discussion and mutual learning.

The meeting also had a significant step towards fostering greater awareness and action on issues related to gender equality and women’s empowerment. Through constructive dialogue, the exchange of ideas, and mutual inspiration, both parties were able to reaffirm their commitment to promoting positive change in society.
