FBNBank, a foreign bank operating in Sierra Leone under its parent company, First Bank of Nigeria has changed its name to FirstBank Sierra Leone.

The change of the name was disclosed on Thursday 30th March 2023 by the Group Head, Marketing, and Corporate Communication Folake Ani-Mumuney.

It was disclosed that the change of the name is to support Sierra Leone with the parent brand and to enjoy a strong heritage and brand equality in its 129 years of banking.

It was also stated that the change of name will further enhance the quality of service delivery which will help boost the banking service in Sierra Leone.

In his statement, the Chief Executive Officer, FirstBank Group Dr. Adesola Adeduntan said the changing of the bank name which coincides with its 129th founding anniversary is a milestone for the bank as it continued to provide the gold standard of excellence and value to its customers.
