The Freetown City Council has conducted a Laying out and Memorial Service for the Late Sia Fatu Kamara.

Laying Out and Memorial Service for the Late Sia Kamara was held at the FCC Auditorium today, 30th September,2024.

Solemn scenes at the FCC Council Auditorium took over the ceremony as the remains of Sia Fatu Kamara were laid out for a civic funeral. Sia’s tragic death has sent shock waves throughout the country with citizens calling for justice and decisive action against domestic violence against women and girls.

The case has sparked widespread outrage following the revelation of harrowing details from a postmortem examination, which indicated that Kamara suffered severe injuries, including broken ribs and a damaged spinal cord.
