Salamatu Y. Kamara Amidst the crisis of onion shortages in Sierra Leone’s market, Myk Berewa, the Communication Specialist from the Office of the President, revealed that FEED SALONE will invest in local farmers to increase onion production within the country.
According to Myk the initiative aims to reduce onion imports, which have cost Sierra Leone $34.4 million in the last three years.
