With echoes of joy and an atmosphere filled with camaraderie, the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio stunned the people of Dallas, Texas, as she joyfully attended a summer picnic organized at the Breckinridge Park.
Joined by her trusted friend and sister, H.E. Monica Geingos, 3rd First Lady of Namibia, the two First Ladies’ presence at the event gracefully proved the importance of showing continued support to those you lead by breaking traditional protocol barriers, while they interacted with Sierra Leoneans based in Dallas, Texas.
In attendance were members of the SLPP North America Sect, representatives of the same from other regions in America, members of the St. Edward’s Secondary School Old Boys Association, and other patriotic Sierra Leoneans who came in numbers, at a chance to meet with and interact with their record-breaking First Lady.
The event, which gave its attendees a taste of local cuisine and deluxe from back home, a vigorous marching band, complimented its attractions with several sporting games that reminisced memories of Sierra Leone and a climax celebratory dance with their cherished First Lady.
