There are reports of flooding in different parts of Freetown, capital of Sierra Leone this morning triggered by heavy and continuous downpour of rains.

It is already reported that the raging floods have resulted in the destruction of houses, road networks, and the livelihoods of residents at Kanikay, the East End of Freetown.

According to an audio and video shared on social media by one DJ Nice ‘Tekno’, the flooding has resulted to some children and adults missing in the community, and properties worth millions of Leones destroyed.

He called on the government to urgently send rescue team to the community in order to save valuable lives and property.
