Former Mayor of Freetown, Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr, has publicly distanced herself from the activities of the Freetown City Council.
In a recent Facebook post, she clarified that it has been over two months since she ceased to be the Mayor of Freetown, and she has no control over the current sanitation operations and management of the City Hall.
Aki-Sawyerr emphasized that she hopes to effect change with the support of the people who voted for her in the June 24th election.
