The newly designated Ambassador of Ghana to Türkiye, His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Nasiru-Deen, has paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Dr. Francess Virginia Anderson, Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Türkiye.
The meeting took place on Friday, 31st October 2025, at the Chancery Building in Ankara.
Courtesy visits between ambassadors are customary diplomatic engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, fostering cooperation, and enhancing communication within the diplomatic community.
During the meeting, both envoys reaffirmed the strong and longstanding relationship between Sierra Leone and Ghana, built on shared history, diplomatic cooperation, economic partnerships, and cultural exchange.
The two countries are also active members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the African Union (AU), working together to promote regional integration, peace, security, and sustainable development.
Ambassador Anderson warmly welcomed the new Ghanaian envoy and expressed her willingness to collaborate closely once he formally presents his Letters of Credence.
“Thank you for coming, and I wish you well,” she said in conclusion.
