The Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Information and Civic Education has announced recruitment offer for qualified migrant workers to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

According to the Deputy Minister of Information and Civic Education, Yusuf Keketoma Sandi, the Government of Sierra Leone and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have signed a memorandum of understanding to employ Sierra Leoneans in Saudi Arabia as part of the government’s effort to accelerate employment in the country.

The Government of Sierra Leone through its commitment to providing job opportunities for its citizens is actively working with Saudi Arabia to ensure a transparent process,” he stated.

He added that the collaboration between both nations reflects the effort to facilitate meaningful employment prospects while safeguarding the interests and wellbeing of the Sierra Leonean workforce.

Sandi disclosed that the Saudi Arabia embassy in Guinea will oversee the recruitment process and accredit private employment agencies to carry out the hiring.

He further disclosed that the Ministry of Labour has already accredited three medical centers including: Ramsy Medical Laboratories, Ecomed Medical Center and Sumah Hospital that would conduct the examination test for prospective workers.

In addition, he said the Ministry of Labour together with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has also agreed to work with the following traveling agencies: SOS Global Investment Agency Sierra Leone, Human Resource Consultant Global Sierra Leone Limited, Sumas Travel Consultant Sierra Leone Limited and Season Limited.

He advised all individuals interested in the recruitment process to engage with these authorized agencies and medical centers to avoid fraudulent activities, and  stay updated with official announcements and information from the the Ministry of Labour regarding the recruitment process.

The government remains dedicated to promoting and facilitating access to decent employment opportunities for its citizens, and endeavors to ensure that the recruitment process is fair, transparent and conducted through the approved agencies and medical centers,” he concluded.
