The statement from the Ministry of Information and Civic Education signifies a proactive approach by the government to balance the economic impact of airport tax increments with initiatives focused on enhancing air travel accessibility and affordability in Sierra Leone.
How is this government going to reduce the prices of air tickets when government do not own even a helicopter? Airlines are privately owned business organizations and their only stake in the game is to make profit. They lied to the people!!!
Only fools are quick to attack what they do no know. Sijawa… let me educate you a little. The government can take a cut on their own profit share. Just like a sales agent, who can take a cut on their percentage share by giving customers discount, in order to attract more customers.
The first thing this Government need to address is to reduce the dollar from 100% down to 25%.So that everythings would be reduced by prices more like the RICE and other commodities that are exporting to Sierra leone.Or es, our government or Party in power has finally fail us forever.
