A Shutdown notice from Guma Valley Water Company states that a shutdown of the water supply to Freetown will happen on Wednesday, 18th June 2025, from 9:00 a.m. for 12 hours to carry out maintenance. work includes:

  2. Replacement of the faulty 22-inch cross connection valve at Lakka

  3. Installation of washout on 22-inch transmission mains at Lakka

  4. Repair of bursts on 22-inch transmission mains at Angola Town and by Emergency Hospital (Goderich)

  5. Servicing of the turbine at the mile 13 treatment plant
