Guma Valley Water Company informs the general public that maintenance work on the 22-inch transmission pipeline located along the Peninsular Road by Sesay Drive, Hamilton, was completed at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 23rd July 2025.

As Residents of Freetown were experiencing a temporary water supply shutdown on July 23, 2025, following a technical issue with a main transmission pipe.

Guma Valley then released a notice; In their statement, the Guma Valley Water Company expressed its commitment to restoring service promptly.

“Our teams are working diligently to complete the repairs within this timeframe and restore service as quickly as possible,” the company stated, while also apologizing for any inconvenience caused to the public.

Furthermore, today, 24 July 2025, a public notice from Guma Valley stated, ‘’Consequently, the Water Supply to Freetown Has Been Restored.’’
