The winner of House of Stars Season 1, Hawa Fefegula, has made a public appeal to President Julius Maada Bio, urging him to consider the situation involving Zainab Sheriff.
In her statement, Fefegula respectfully called on the President to ensure that decisions made in the matter reflect fairness and justice. She cautioned against allowing the actions or influence of individuals within his circle to create a public perception that may not align with his true character.
“You and I both know that you are not a bad person,” she stated, adding that leadership decisions influenced by others can sometimes send the wrong message to the public.
Fefegula also referenced a past incident in which an individual allegedly made a controversial statement threatening unrest if unsuccessful in the 2028 elections. She noted that no action was taken at the time, suggesting that political affiliation may have played a role in that outcome.
Drawing a comparison to the current situation involving Zainab Sheriff, she emphasised the importance of consistency in the application of justice.
“Justice should be fair and consistent, regardless of who is involved,” she said.
In her concluding remarks, Fefegula reminded the President of the temporary nature of power, urging him to lead with fairness, accountability, and integrity.
“Power is not permanent-today it is yours, tomorrow it may belong to someone else. Leadership should always be guided by fairness, accountability, and integrity, because nothing lasts forever,” she concluded.
