The Special Representative of Secretary-General and Head of United Nations Office for West Africa and the Sahel, Mahamat Saleh Annadif, has called on stakeholders in Sierra Leone to take necessary steps to maintain inclusive dialogue to ensure peaceful general elections in 2023.

He said so during his one-day visit to Sierra Leone. Mr. Annadif was received by Presient Bio. Mr . Anandif met with various stakeholders including Ernest Bai Koroma and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Freetown.

Holding discussions on varied topics with stakeholders, Mr. Annadif commended the accomplishments made so far by Sierra Leone including the abolition of the death penalty.

Mr. Anandif called on stakeholders to hold consultation so that the general election of 2023 constitute a major democratic progress for Sierra Leone.
