The Ministry of Technical and Higher Education (MTHE) has received a 50 kW Baifa brand generator from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sierra Leone. The donation is aimed at strengthening the Ministry’s operational capacity and ensuring a more reliable working environment.

In her statement, the Minister of Technical and Higher Education, Haja Ramatulai Wurie, expressed profound gratitude to the People’s Republic of China for its continued support to Sierra Leone, particularly in the area of human capital development. She noted that China’s partnership with Sierra Leone extends beyond infrastructural support to include capacity building, training opportunities, and professional development for Sierra Leoneans.

The Minister emphasized that the donation of the generator would significantly enhance the Ministry’s operations by ensuring uninterrupted activities.

She also highlighted the longstanding friendship between Sierra Leone and China, which spans over 60 years and has consistently contributed to the country’s development agenda.

The ceremony concluded with the Minister extending Christmas greetings and best wishes to the Ministry’s staff, expressing hope for a peaceful festive season and continued progress in the Ministry’s work.
