House of Stars CEO, Valentine King, has publicly responded to the serious allegations made by Lolo Simeon, the winner of Season Two of the popular reality television series, who recently accused the show’s organizers of deceit, breach of contract, and failure to deliver on promised prizes.
Simeon, who gained widespread fame after her victory in February 2025, voiced her frustrations from Paris, claiming that the show had not fulfilled its commitments, including providing proper ownership documentation for her prize house and car.
In a scathing public statement, Simeon said she had yet to receive the official documents for the house and vehicle, despite being promised both as part of her grand prize package.
“I won the house, I won the car, but I have nothing to show for it,” Simeon said, accusing the House of Stars team of deceit and disrespect. She went on to highlight structural issues with the house, alleging that it was in poor condition upon delivery, with significant engineering concerns such as water damage and foundation problems.
In response to these accusations, King defended the show’s actions and its adherence to established policies. In a live broadcast, he emphasized that the show’s rules stipulate that prize ownership documents are not released immediately after the conclusion of the competition.
King clarified that both the house and the car are subject to a waiting period to prevent winners from quickly reselling or damaging the assets. Simeon, he confirmed, had agreed to this waiting period, with the documents for the car scheduled for release after one year.
King also addressed Simeon’s complaints about the house’s condition. “The property was fully completed and handed over as per the contract,” he stated. He argued that the issues Simeon reported, including water leakage, were due to unauthorized changes she made to the house, such as removing a wall and installing a window, which violated estate regulations. King also suggested that the house’s prolonged period of being locked up by Simeon may have contributed to the dampness she cited as a concern.
Regarding the car, a used Nissan Rogue, Simeon expressed dissatisfaction with the vehicle’s condition, particularly the lack of proper documentation, which raised concerns about its safety.
King denied these claims, describing the car’s condition as normal and stating that issues such as wheel cover problems were common in used vehicles. He also stated that the production team had made accommodations for Simeon’s demands, including costly upgrades to the house’s roofing and imported paint, in an effort to meet her preferences.
Simeon further alleged that King had demanded additional funds for a replacement vehicle and insulted her throughout the process. In his defense, King stated that Simeon had been dissatisfied with the prizes from the outset and that the production team had done everything possible to meet her expectations within the terms of the contract.
The dispute also extended to travel arrangements. Simeon had expressed frustration over delays in her planned overseas trips. King confirmed that the original agreement with Simeon included a trip to Dubai, but also acknowledged that the show had facilitated additional trips, including one to China, which he personally covered the flight costs for.
King explained that delays in the trip were caused by complications in obtaining new travel documents after Simeon’s European passport was reportedly destroyed. Additionally, Simeon’s management decided to delay the China trip to align with their own business funding.
In his concluding remarks, King reaffirmed House of Stars’ commitment to delivering on its promises and emphasized that the show would continue with future seasons. “House of Stars is about changing lives, and we remain dedicated to that mission,” King stated. He also made it clear that the production team had acted in full compliance with the terms and conditions laid out in the contract.
