The Sierra Leone Immigration department has informed the general Public that it will resume the Naturalization process with effect from 1st October 2024.

The Department further reveal that any foreign  National wishing to become  a  Sierra Leonean Citizens should  apply by completing  the application  form  and providing the requisite evidences.

The Naturalization can be obtained from the Office of the Chief Immigration office. Foreign Nationals  wishing to  Naturalize must submit their  Application forms with the ORIGINALS  of the following  Documents.

Valid  National Passport

3 Passport-Sized Photos

Birth Certificates [If Relevant]

Change of Name Deed[ If Relevant]

Evidence of Parents Status[If Relevant]

Evidence of Residence in Sierra Leone for the Last Eight Years

Evidence of Travel in and out of the country  for the last Five Years

Evidence of Current Employment or Business

Evidence of Earning in the last Five years[ Pay slips and /or Bank Statements]

The department  strongly advises all Prospective applicants  to make  sure that they have the request  evidence before  applying to avoid  delay or potential  refusal of applications.
