The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has ended Inception Meeting on Harnessing SDG- Agrifood System in Sierra Leone.

They maintained that, the discussions at the FAO inception meeting in Sierra Leone was focused on harnessing SDG-based agrifood system transformation & empowering the next-generation of agrifood leaders in Africa is truly inspiring.

They also expressed excitement for the positive changes & sustainable growth this initiative will bring which may be good for the nation in helping in the food self-sufficiency.

This initiative as believed by many will serve to complemeng the efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security in boosting the Feed Salone initiative which is the flagship project of President Bio.

FAO in collaboration with UNDP Sierra Leone, UNFPA Sierra Leone, SLMOYA1 and the Ministry of Agriculture have also conducted a Joint assessment visit to the UNPeace building youth-at-risk project in Tonkolili District, which was meant to get first hand information as well as o serving the progress of the initiative
