Sierra Leone’s president Julius Maada Bio has received credentials from the new ambassador of Ireland to Sierra Leone Ambassador Aidan Fitzpatrick.

The Embassy of Ireland in Sierra Leone in a tweet after the ambassador presented his credentials stated that it looks forward to strengthening the long-standing lateral relationship between the two countries.

It also hopes to advance the development and economic cooperation with Ireland and the government and people of Sierra Leone.

Ireland and Sierra Leone have enjoyed bilateral relations for decades and Sierra Leone has benefited immensely from Ireland.
