Minister of Gender and Children’s Affairs, Isata Mahoi, expressed her gratitude to the President for what she described as a significant boost to enhance and elevate the roles and initiatives of women in the nation.

She maintained that, many priorities have been accorded to the women in the country for which she believed the women are making good use of these priorities to give back to their diverse communities.

She disclosed that in the 5th parliament, there were only 18 female MPs and now in the 6th parliament there are 42 female MPs and from three Cabinet Ministers to now 10 Cabinet Ministers and 11 Deputies. She hailed the political will of His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio in promoting women and girls.
