Prominent All People’s Congress (APC) figure and former Attorney General, Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara (JFK), has expressed his gratitude and admiration following a recent meeting with former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma.
JFK, widely respected for his legal acumen and political influence, described the meeting as a significant moment for reflection and planning toward Sierra Leone’s progress.
In a statement shared on social media, JFK wrote, “Always a pleasure to meet with former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma. A worthy opportunity to learn and a time to reminisce, as well as also chart a way forward for progress and love of the State. God bless Sierra Leone and grateful for keeping him safe.”
Their discussion is believed to have centered on national unity, developmental aspirations, and strategies for strengthening the APC’s role in Sierra Leone’s governance and political future.
Former President Ernest Bai Koroma is currently in Nigeria for medical treatment, despite being due to stand trial for an alleged role in a coup attempt last year.
The High Court granted Mr. Koroma permission to leave Sierra Leone on Wednesday for a maximum of three months.
Sierra Leone’s current president described the decision as a “humanitarian gesture.”
However, there is widespread speculation that a deal has been reached, allowing Mr. Koroma to go into exile
