Former Ambassador of the Republic of Sierra Leone to Germany, H.E. Amb. Jongopie Siaka Stevens has died today, February 16th 2024.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of His Excellency, Jengopie Siaka Stevens, former Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.” Former Information Attaché Germany, Umaru Sahid Jah announced.
The announcement did not mention the cause of his death, but said further announcements would be made later.
Ambassador Jongopie Siaka Stevens was born on 10 June 1950, earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Cambridge College of Arts and Technology in England, and a diploma in the field of electro-medical pment at the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary.

He was for many years as an engineer for medical electronics in the Ministry of Health and Medical Services in Sierra Leone, and later as senior chief engineer.
