At the National Electoral Legal Reform Conference held at the New Brookfields Hotel in Freetown, Justice Alusine Sesay has sent warnings to lawmakers to be cautious about the the kind of the laws they make.

He enjoined judges not to make bad laws because, according to him, bad laws may be subjected to bad and wrong interpretation.

He explained that the effects of bad laws is that it leads to miscarriage of Justice, adding that judges only interpret what is in the law.

Supreme Court, Justice Sesay highlighted the difficulty involved in law interpretation, explaining that if laws are good, interpretation will not be a problem.

“We have to go by the rules of the Supreme Court”, Justice Sesay noted.
