Vice President of Sierra Leone, Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh visited Fourah College early on Wednesday, September 5.
The Vice President met with staff and administrators at Fourah Bay College (FBC).
During the visit, Jalloh stressed on the importance of the Education Development Fund which support universities to address issues likely the ability to admit more students.
The Vice President spoke about government’s commitment to education while referencing the renovation works ongoing at the campus.
Jalloh’s visit to Sierra Leone’s premier tertiary institution came about a couple weeks ago when lecturers threatened to go on strike if government fails to increase their salary.
Analysts have suggested that the meeting between the Vice President and some senior staff at FBC could serve as stepping solve their difference.

Lecturers should be paid handsomely so that corruption will be minimal. But wait oo, what about teachers too? Teachers should have an increase in their salaries as well.
