The Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has on Tuesday 22nd August, 2023 received a high-powered delegation from the West African College of Surgeons (WACS) to Sierra Leone at his Tower Hill Office in Freetown.
The delegation is in Sierra Leone to assess the level of preparedness for the upcoming WACS Annual General and Scientific Conference scheduled to take place in Sierra Leone from the 3rd – 7th March, 2024.
VP Juldeh Jalloh welcomed the delegation on behalf of the Government expressing the importance of hosting the WACS Conference next year in Sierra Leone. He stated that the conference will come at a time when there is high enthusiasm to build on the gains made in the health sector over the years particularly in maternal and infant health. He assured the delegation of Government support to hosting a successful WACS conference in Sierra Leone.
