SLPP Politician Kadiru Kaikai Granted Bail After Threatening Violence

Chief Kadiru Kaikai, a prominent SLPP politician, has been granted bail following his arrest by Sierra Leonean police.

Kaikai’s arrest came after a video of him making threatening remarks went viral, sparking widespread public outrage.

In the video, which was recorded in the local Krio language, Kaikai declared, “If I am not given the flag bearer position, I will wage war in this country, and it will be worse than the last one.”

His inflammatory comments were met with significant backlash from both citizens and political figures, who condemned his threats and called for accountability.

I am a supporter and register member of the ruling SLPP party and love Mr kaikai as a result of doing great for the party. Now I have seen many people making comparison with the ulterances of Mr Kaikai and Mr Samura failing to realize that Mr Kaikai did not make good use of his diction rather he use the word War which has only one negative meaning and also compared it to the past eleven years War we had.Mr Samura never said such but rather use the word ungovernable. Please we are all Sierra Leonean and let's be mindful of our thoughts and also be patriotic. I am kindly appealing to the law officer to please have mercy on our brother and give him a stern warning and also withdraw his statement. I thank you all for understanding.

I am totally against what Kai Kai said for which he has asked for mercy, but Samura Kamara who also said and infact did the action of making this country ungovernable is going up and down freely. He's still destroying all the good things this government is putting in place. What is wrong with Sierra Leone?

The politics in Sierra Leone is based on color, regional, and ethnic bias. When Samuara Kamara made a statement saying if he does not win the 2023 general elections, he will make this country very ungovernable. The supporters of APC see it as the right diction. They were celebrating everywhere in the country supporting Samura's statement. There was nobody within the party( APC) who could stand tall to condemn that statement. A member of Sierra leone Peoples party ( SLPP) has altered similar statement , now all the APC supporters are there condemning and castigating him in every aspect. What a bias world
