The Deputy Minister of Sports, Kai Lawrence Mbayo, has sent a message to the people of Kono and beyond, expressing his gratitude for their concerns and support over fear that he has lost his ministerial position.
“I Feel Touched From Heaven, My Kono People And Beyond Am Grateful,” he said.
Mbayo assured the People of Kono that he is fine, noting that his position is still vacant and that he is not being replaced or dismissed. He encouraged them to keep the peace and support President Bio

In high esteem I will forever be with my people of Kono District and beyond, a true friend is known during trial times. I have received more than 1000 calls and messages from my people of Kono District alone to know In-depth of my well being I’m pretty sure that there is a fear that KLM is no longer needed or drop from his ministerial position by His Excellence (Rtd). Brig. Dr. Julius Maada Bio that’s not the issue as it stands my position is still vacant and am not been replaced or dismissed from office.
I’m perfectly sufficient, Kono as a district we should be more focus on the ongoing infrastructures like the Koidu to Guinea border highway, Kono University of Science and Technology (KUST), the Maternal Center for Excellence, and the likes failing to do so we will woefully fail our people by protecting our position instead of advocating for development, am encouraging each and everyone to keep the peace and support the best President ever HE.
