Destroyed police station at Kamakwie Town, Karene District, have been revived and reopened for public use, according to Kamakwie police update.
This was made possible through the Sierra Leone Police with support from the Government.
The old structure which was burnt down have been replaced with modern structures to enable the Police to provide normal policing services to the people of Kamakwie Town and its environs.
It could be recalled that the Kamakwie police station was set ablaze on the 10th of August 2022, after a peaceful protest turned deadly.
The ugly incident led to the killing of two police officers and the burning of the Police Station and Barracks in Kamakwie Town.
