The trial of Samura Kamara, the presidential candidate of Sierra Leone’s main opposition party, the All People’s Congress (APC) in the recently concluded elections will resume today in Freetown.
“The case: The State Vs Saidu NALLO, Adikali Foday Suma, Foday Vahfomba Bawoh, Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, Kandeh Foday Basil Kamara & Jules Sanders Davis before Justice Adrian Fisher will resume on Friday, 14th July 2023.VENUE: Court No.11. 1:00 am prompt,” a notice by the Judiciary of Sierra Leone states.
According to the Anti-Corruption Commission of Sierra Leone (ACC), Dr. Samura Matthew Wilson Kamara is charged with one count of deceiving a principal and One count of misappropriation of public funds amounting to Two Million, Five Hundred and Sixty Thousand United States Dollars ($2,560,000) meant for the reconstruction of the Sierra Leone Chancery Building in New York.
Kamara had long denied the allegations and claimed that the case was politically motivated to tarnish the good image and reputation he has nurtured over the years.
Samura Kamara was President Julius Maada Bio’s main challenger in the June 24 elections. Bio secured victory by polling over 56 percent of the votes to avoid a run-off against Kamara, who polled about 41 gr.
However, the opposition politician was quick to reject the election results. “These results are NOT credible and I categorically reject the outcome so announced by the electoral commission,” he stated on Twitter shortly after the announcement of the presidential results by the Chief Electoral Commissioner, Mohamed Konneh.
I thought Samura fool Kamara was going to refuse to appear in court for his corruption case on the grounds that he does not trust the judiciary of the state. This paaaa is a foolish one sorry for saying this. Let the law take its course and deal with whoever is found guilty of this corruption charges including the so-called former flag bearer.

Samura was also trying to boycott the cases, forgetting that he is not in control of the world but God. Where are the APC tyrants, men, and women who are only good for propaganda, killing, and corruption in the county? Are they also forming fake stories on media in regards to covering up their shame and guilt? Samura Mathew Kamara, why can’t you cry out for rescue to your Criminal dady Bai Koroma? Sad to hear that the limb of Ceaser is now in court, and by God’s grace, justice must prevail in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen and Amen
The end justifies the means
InshaAllah, ALLAH is the best protector for Dr Samurai Kamara and is the best of all judges. And please, Justice Fisher I pray you judge this case with the fearness of ALLAH because a day will come when you have to stand before your Maker and give account for the position entrusted to you. Is please fear that day in this world before it too late. Thanks.
