The Kamason Foundation donates football uniforms to each of the football clubs in the Malal chiefdom, which is a part of Constituency 049, Tonkolili District, on Thursday, December 15, 2022. This donation was made as part of the organization’s commitment to promoting social opportunities for youth.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Augustus Abdul Kamason, the objects are worth around Le7,000,000 Old Leones. According to the CEO, this gesture is a part of the organization’s strategy to encourage football activities among the target audience.

The Chief Executive Officer declared during the handing-over ceremony that in addition to having a passion for football, he had also dedicated his time, energy, and resources to ensuring that the sport reached its highest peak in his home constituency of 049.

Football clubs including Masugbay FC, Ropolong Bana FC, Mabang Lol FC, and Kant Kant FC of Rochen Malal profited from the admirable initiative. The CEO further stated that more football teams in the two chiefdoms in the Constituency, Khalifa Mabang and Mayosso Mamuntha, will also receive donations. A football and two jerseys were beneficial to each football team.

According to Kamason, football should be used to foster social integration among young people in Constituency 049 and the nation at large rather than as a place for pursuing individual goals or quarreling.

People in attendance praised Kamason and the Foundation’s leadership and said that others should follow their lead by giving football jerseys as they did.

The Kamason was founded in March 2016 with a primary focus on advocacy, youth development, and the promotion of education and female child empowerment. Currently, the organization’s registered office is located in Green Compound, Off John Smart Street, Mile 91 town, Yoni chiefdom, Northern Sierra Leone.
